Weekend Review 03-1213-2010 – Sunday Setlists – Worship Confessional
What a great weekend! The only huge responsibility I had this weekend was directing the choir. For the rest of the service, I got to just play the keys and nothing else. It was a ton of fun for me. I don’t get to do that all that often, so when I do, I just love it. I must admit, I go a little crazy, I break a few of the rules and play a little too much. I just can’t help myself.
Here was our set:
- Joyful, Joyful We adore Thee (Charlie Hall arr.)
- Mighty to Save
- Wonderful Maker
- Jeremiah Scripture
- The Potter’s Hand
- The Majesty & Glory of Your Name (Choir)
- All of my Days
I totally botched the into to Mighty to Save. It’s a guitar thing normally, but I was doing it & I totally destroyed it – not in a good way. Phil & Danielle did an amazing job leading (as they always do). And the choir did an awesome job. Choir is still a relatively new thing around here, so I’ve been teaching the choir some of the “classics” in terms of Church choir music. “The Majesty & Glory of Your Name” is definitely a classic. If you have a choir, and they haven’t done this song, you should dig through your library and pull it out for them to sing.
