About Kevin Kruse

Kevin Kruse is the Worship Pastor at Laurelwood Baptist Church in Vancouver, WA. Though he is only in his third year of full-time ministry, Kevin has been serving in music ministry since the age of 13. As early as ninth grade, Kevin was leading the worship music with the Jr. High youth band and regularly playing on the Sunday morning worship team.

Kevin went to Multnomah Bible College in Portland, OR where he received a double major in Bible/Theology and Music Ministry. Additionally, he met his wife Melanie while attending Multnomah. The two have been married for 5 years and have a one-year old daughter. While at Multnomah, Kevin was a member of the worship band, forgivenmuch, which traveled all over the Pacific Northwest leading worship at camps, conferences, and youth events.

Kevin is passionate about the role of music in community and how the Church can partner together to serve each member. Living in a time where cultural changes are occurring and social norms have shifted, it is imperative for the Church to unite and be true Hope and Love to a broken world. Our best way of accomplishing this end is to first love each other and work together. That is where authentic community takes place and the prospect of music playing a role in community is a very exciting thing.
