Kevin’s Weekend Review: 3-1-09

Hi everyone! We had a very full service on Sunday, and it kind of turned into a headache as I was coordinating with different people during the week and trying to keep everyone on track and on time for Sunday. Part of the service involved communion (which we take on the first Sunday of every month); and communion Sunday always seem to end up running late.

Either way, it was a good service with some new music that I wrote. If you want to listen to one of the new songs, click on the link listed below (keep in mind these are just board feeds that don’t sound that great… you can’t even hear the drums! And what’s worship without drums?! 🙂 The congregation seemed to really responded well to the new one I wrote.

Here’s what we did:

  • Opening testimony and video (a family in our church has a 7-year old son with cancer; we’ve been praying for them and I thought it would be cool to start the service with an update and video on his progress)
  • Great is the Lord (old Steve McEwan song)
  • Jesus Messiah (new Chris Tomlin song)
  • Communion (between songs)
  • You are my King (Amazing Love)
  • Grace Flows Down (off the Passion “One Day Live” album)
  • Sing Your Praise (song I wrote several months ago that we’ve been singing)
  • Mission Focus / Offering
  • Your Word is Alive (new song I wrote)
  • Message on Hebrews 4:12-16
