This was a fantastic weekend. It was the first weekend where we had a volunteer worship leader and a volunteer band leader working together with almost no help from me. And it went very well! First of all, the worship leader has a tremendous voice that works way better with a lot of the songs we do than mine does. He also has a huge heart for worship, which shows in his stage presence and facial expressions. Our band leader is a great guitarist and has a great desire for everything we do musically to be of great quality. Together, I think they’ll be a great team.

It was great to have our Senior Pastor close again. It’s great to have a senior pastor with musical ability and has a desire to use it with worship even though he’s too busy to really do that. I’m sure a lot of worship pastors wouldn’t like to have their Senior Pastor playing with them, but I do.

We have been playing Lifesong for a couple of years now. We have a worship leader that has excellent vocal range, so we play just about everything in the original key. This makes it easy for those on the team that don’t read music because we can just learn it from the cd. Try it. Original key is Db but E should be easy enough to sing it in.
